Our Approach to Nutrition
Fresh, Balanced & Thoughtfully Designed Meals
We provide all meals, including:
- Morning Tea
- Lunch
- Afternoon Tea
- Late Afternoon Snack
Through our partnership with a boutique food service, we ensure each meal is fresh, seasonally inspired, and tailored to meet the unique dietary needs of early childhood.
Our menu is designed to:
Support healthy growth and development. Meals align with Australian Dietary Guidelines, Infant Feeding Guidelines, and the Munch & Move program to encourage balanced eating habits.
Introduce children to diverse flavours and textures. Our four-week rotating menu features a variety of cuisines, fresh produce, and whole foods to expand young palates.
Cater to dietary needs. We accommodate dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegetarian options, ensuring every child can enjoy nutritious, delicious meals.
Prioritise safety. Our meals are nut-free, and our team receives regular food safety training to ensure every meal is handled with care.

Fostering Independence & Healthy Habits
At Bowral Street Childcare, mealtimes are about more than just eating.
We encourage children to:
- Use real plates and cutlery, supporting fine motor skill development and mealtime confidence.
- Clear their plates, promoting responsibility and self-help skills.
- Prepare for school. As part of our School Readiness Program, we introduce lunchbox weeks, helping children adjust to independent eating before starting big school.
We are committed to creating a positive, engaging food experience where children learn to enjoy nutritious meals in a fun and supportive environment.
