BOWRAL STREET CHILDCARE
Echidna Room (3–4 years)
About the Echidna Room
The Echidna Room at Bowral Street Childcare is designed to support growing independence, confidence, and early learning in a fun and nurturing environment. Through a play-based curriculum, children develop key self-help skills, explore new ideas, and engage in activities that encourage curiosity and creativity.
What We Offer:
- Play-Based Learning – Children learn best through play. Our program encourages hands-on experiences, imaginative play, and group collaboration, fostering problem-solving, communication, and creativity.
- Self-Help & Independence – At this stage, children begin to take more responsibility for their belongings and personal care. Educators guide them in dressing themselves, serving food, and practicing hygiene, promoting independence and confidence.
- Relaxation & Mindfulness – To support emotional well-being, the Echidna Room incorporates quiet reading, mindfulness activities, and meditation, helping children learn how to self-regulate emotions and unwind throughout the day.
- Social & Emotional Growth – Developing friendships and learning how to work within a group are key focuses. Through structured activities and open-ended play, children practice cooperation, empathy, and resilience.
At Bowral Street Childcare, we believe every child is a capable learner. The Echidna Room provides a safe, engaging, and supportive space where children can develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
